Ike’s London Landmark Quiz

Ike sets off from Yorkshire to seek his fortune in the capital

Sara took Ike to London at the beginning of this year and showed him some famous places from an open-top bus tour. How many of these famous landmarks do you recognise?

Sara and Ike looked out for cats and found the lion by Westminster Bridge (above), and the lioness in Lower Grosvenor Garden (below):

They also found the cat below which appears on the frieze of the Animals in War Memorial in Hyde Park:

The bus tour took Ike and Sara past this hospital too, Some people might recognise it from the news, as it was host to a famous patient who was suffering from Covid-19 later in the year:

Ike did make his fortune that day, but only with Sara’s help – she had very kindly arranged for a custom-made scarf for Ike, hand-knitted by Australian internet cat Frisky le Rouge:

And he ended the day by pretending to be Mayor of London:

  1. I loved going to London when my friends lived there. They now live in North Berwick which is closer to where I live.

  2. A very grand tour of London Sir Ike! Loved taking the quiz after many years away since 1983. I particularly appreciate the war memorials for animals who made the atrocities of war marginally better for soldiers. Thank you Sara and Ike for a stunning tour!
