On to Bruny Island Neck Conservation Reserve. Geography Cat followers will be familiar with the word isthmus already. Here you can really appreciate how thin the thin strip of land that is an isthmus can be:

Near this lookout spot is a memorial to Truganini:

Truganini lived here and suffered at the hands of European sailors and settlers, even her poor remains were only laid to rest a hundred years after her death. You can read more about Truganini here, and here.
